Burlington Berries have a rich history in the horticulture industry, with sustainable and delightful harvests of Australia’s favourite berries.

We are a family-owned business that specialises in high-quality soft fruit production. Whilst we were established in Cressy, Tasmania, in 2012, we have over 120 years of experience spanning Upper Murray Seeds, Burlington Berries, and Hugh Lowe Farms in the United Kingdom. Most notably, we supply our berries to Driscolls Australia and Maravilla.

Our harvest season runs from November through to June, with our polytunnels providing security of production, protection from the elements, and guaranteed high-quality berries – but it doesn’t stop there. Yielding periods are expanding, and so are we.

With our harvest second peak is soon approaching and we are on the lookout for Pack House/Ancillary to join our team in Cressy, Tasmania. These seasonal roles are generally from October - to June).

Wages are paid as per the Horticulture Award, and Junior rates apply.

The packhouse operates seven days per week, and to be considered for these roles, you will be rostered on for 5 days on, two days off each week. This may include weekend work and additional shifts.

Work hours depend on fruit harvest quantities, and shift lengths can vary from 5 hrs to up to 10 hrs per day. 

About you

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated experience working in Warehousing, ideally in a food processing facility. You will be reasonably fit and healthy, as the roles on offer are often physically demanding, requiring you to spend most of your time on your feet. A willingness to work extended hours (including weekends) and the ability to work independently will also be critical to your success in this position.

This role is best described as busy; your attention to detail and consistency are key to getting the job done.

A Forklift Licence is desirable.
