Burlington Berries have a rich history in the horticulture industry, with sustainable and delightful harvests of Australia’s favourite berries.

We are a family-owned business that specialises in high-quality soft fruit production. Whilst we were established in Cressy, Tasmania, in 2012, we have over 120 years of experience spanning Upper Murray Seeds, Burlington Berries, and Hugh Lowe Farms in the United Kingdom. Most notably, we supply Driscolls Australia with our Amesti Strawberries and Maravilla Raspberries.

Our harvest season runs from October through to June, with our polytunnels providing security of production, protection from the elements, and guaranteed high-quality berries – but it doesn’t stop there. Yielding periods are expanding, and so are we.

With our harvest season soon approaching, we are on the lookout for a Pack House Supervisor to join our team in Cressy, Tasmania. This is a seasonal role (Oct - July).

Your next opportunity

In this role, you will assist and support the Pack House Manager with the operational activities of the pack house, managing the team and ensuring operational plans are implemented are achieved. 

Core duties:

  • Ensure daily orders are completed and ready for despatch in a timely manner;
  • Liaise with the Harvest Manager and field supervisors throughout the day on quality and volumes of fruit expected into the Pack House;
  • Learn and enforce all product specifications and food safety protocols in the Pack House; and
  • Learn and understand routine maintenance on the advanced production lines to minimise setup and down time.

About you

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated experience working in Warehousing, ideally in a food processing facility. You will be an empathetic and patient individual who is highly organised and has the skills to effectively lead and mentor a team of people. 

In this role, you will be someone who can communicate and work well with individuals cultural backgrounds.

Moreover, you will have strong analytical skills and be able to read and interpret production and quality data.
